2025
We partnered with Rajkamal Prakashan, one of India’s most influential Hindi publishing houses, to develop the visual identity and communication ecosystem for Kitab Utsav, its annual book festival. The project involved creating a distinctive and culturally resonant brand experience that celebrated literature, ideas, and community engagement across multiple touchpoints. Our scope covered event branding, print collateral, digital assets, and social media communication, ensuring a cohesive festival presence from launch to execution.
Summary
Studio 1947 designed and executed a comprehensive branding system for Kitab Utsav, translating the festival's literary spirit into a compelling visual language. Through strategic storytelling, graphic design, and audience-focused communication, we developed a unified identity that connected readers, authors, and cultural enthusiasts. The final output extended across on-ground event materials, promotional campaigns, and digital engagement assets, helping the festival become a memorable and visually impactful experience for attendees.
Challenge
The primary challenge was to create a contemporary festival identity while respecting the rich literary heritage and cultural significance associated with Rajkamal Prakashan. The branding needed to appeal to diverse audiences, from long-time readers and authors to younger generations discovering literature through modern channels. Maintaining consistency across print, digital, and event environments while conveying the vibrancy, depth, and inclusivity of a large-scale literary festival required a carefully crafted visual and communication strategy.
