Studio 1947 partnered with the college to create a visual and communication ecosystem that reflects its commitment to learning, youth development, and community progress. The project aimed to strengthen the institution’s identity while highlighting its role in nurturing future generations through accessible and locally rooted education.
Summary
The engagement focused on developing communication and design assets that could effectively represent Mirik College’s vision of academic excellence and holistic student development. Through branding, visual storytelling, and outreach materials, Studio 1947 helped create a cohesive identity that connected the institution with students, educators, and the wider community. The resulting design system emphasized the college’s educational mission while showcasing its contribution to the social and intellectual growth of the region.
Challenge
The primary challenge was creating a contemporary and engaging identity for an educational institution deeply rooted in a local context. The communication needed to resonate with prospective students and stakeholders while reflecting the college’s values of learning, aspiration, and community service. Additionally, the visual system had to balance institutional credibility with an approachable and inspiring tone, ensuring consistency across academic communications, promotional materials, digital platforms, and future outreach initiatives.
