Studio 1947 collaborated with Avishkar Women and Children Hospital (AWCH), a healthcare-focused non-profit institution dedicated to providing accessible and affordable medical services for women and children. The project focused on creating a communication and visual identity system that could effectively represent the hospital’s mission of compassionate care, trust, and community impact. The objective was to strengthen AWCH’s public presence while making healthcare communication more approachable and engaging for patients, families, and stakeholders.
Summary
The engagement centered on translating AWCH’s healthcare mission into a clear and human-centered visual experience. Through branding, communication design, and storytelling-led creative assets, Studio 1947 developed materials that enhanced the hospital’s ability to communicate its services, values, and impact. The resulting design system balanced professionalism with warmth, helping establish a stronger connection between the institution and the communities it serves while supporting awareness and outreach initiatives.
Challenge
Healthcare communication requires a high level of trust, clarity, and accessibility. The primary challenge was creating a visual language that conveyed medical credibility without feeling intimidating or overly clinical. The identity needed to resonate with diverse audiences, including patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders. Additionally, the communication system had to simplify complex healthcare information while maintaining consistency across digital, print, and outreach materials, ensuring that AWCH’s commitment to affordable and quality care remained at the forefront of every interaction.
