About
Nadia Imam is a translator, editor, and storyteller committed to bridging cultural divides. As the translator of Once Upon the Queens, a collection of children's short stories, she brings her love for literature and language to life. A graduate of Jadavpur University with a Bachelor's and Master’s in English Literature, Nadia has honed her craft through a specialized Editing and Publishing course. Her diverse career has included journalism (The Telegraph, The Statesman), advertising as a Creative Director’s Assistant, and, most recently, publishing, where she manages and edits books across genres. Beyond her literary pursuits, Nadia has been deeply involved in activism, working with survivors of communal violence in Delhi (2020), stranded migrant workers during the COVID-19 lockdown, and communities affected by Cyclones Amphan and Yaas (2020–21). She also hosts Chali Kahani, a podcast celebrating the magic of Hindi cinema. A passionate advocate for social justice, she finds joy in dance, pop culture, and fostering connections that transcend boundaries.
